Snowmass Village is a cycling community at the core. Weekly races offer a fantastic way to meet and mingle with local cyclists while giving you the opportunity to challenge yourself to a personal best. Additionally, Snowmass hosts multiple cycling events for riders of all abilities including Big Mountain Enduro Finals, the VIDA MTB Series Flagship Clinic, Snowmass Demo Days and more.
The Audi Power of Four mountain bike race starts at the base of Snowmass and finishes at the base of Aspen Mountain. The race covers an estimated 9,000 feet of vertical gain and 9,000 feet of vertical drop over 36 miles on top-rated single track and demanding double track ascents over four mountains.
This Flagship VIDA Clinic provides women with the opportunity to connect with VIDA coaches and fully immerse themselves into the nitty-gritty of proper biking technique and the confidence needed to tackle new challenges over the course of the three day event. VIDA will complete the Flagship weekend with healthy meals, yoga, bike maintenance classes and happy hour events.
The Big Mountain Enduro finishes its tour in Snowmass this year and will blend high altitude riding adventures with some of the biggest descents and best riding in the area. This race will also count toward Enduro World Series qualification and global rankings.
For the 3rd year, this event, now held in August, will showcase “The Snowmass Loop.” With more than 24 miles of singletrack and just over 4,000’ of climbing and descending, the non-stop scenic vistas, aspen groves, meadows, and beautiful pine forests will motivate you to the finish line. Intermediate and advanced riders will love this fast and diverse course.
The Aspen Cycling Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to encouraging participation in bicycling at all levels. The ACC offers a low-cost, summer-long series of road and mountain bike races. The 2018 series will host approximately eight road- and eight mountain-bike races. We will continue to race on some of the Valley’s classic roads and trails, and we will also look for new and exciting courses while striving to grow our membership base. In 2018, the Club will seek to expand event participation throughout the Valley and will continue our commitment to trail building and maintenance as part of our goal to support and grow the sport from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.
