Flowy, well-graded singletrack with berms and small rollers make for a fantastic multi-directional riding experience.
The Airline trail is just about as multi-directional as you can get with buff flow trail features to enjoy on the way down while maintaining a grade that makes for a manageable climb up the same trail. Take in views of the valley and race the planes landing and taking off from the Aspen Snowmass airport seen below.
Local’s Tip: This trail is so fun and flowy on the downhill that downhill traffic moves quickly. So, while it’s an enjoyable ride either up or down, it’s more favored as a downhill.
Please note: This trail is subject to seasonal closures.
Free parking is available at the Buttermilk parking lot. Ride the new dirt connector trail or take the paved Owl Creek Road bike path to the Airline trailhead.
